A question beneath the stars

I would leave a page open to the sky in Gyeongju. Cheomseongdae is thought to have been built during Queen Seondeok's reign in the seventh century. Its name points to watching the stars, and its curved body rises through 27 tiers of stone. Scholars continue to discuss aspects of how the structure was used. An old monument can still hold an open question.

From the public viewing area, notice how modest its size feels against the sky. You can appreciate that contrast in daylight; no late-night expedition is required. The protected stones are for looking at, not climbing.

My souvenir would be a small question mark beside a star. Not knowing every answer can be a good reason to keep looking, with care and curiosity.
